Wired Connection (Ethernet):
- Use an Ethernet cable (or a USB-to-Ethernet adapter if your Mac doesn't have an Ethernet port) to connect the Mac and Windows PC.
- Turn on file sharing on the Windows computer. You may need to refer to the Windows documentation for specific instructions.
- Ensure the Internet Connection Firewall is turned off, or if it's on, ensure TCP port 445 is open to allow sharing connections.
- On your Mac, go to "Go > Connect to Server", then click "Browse" or enter the network address of the Windows computer in the "Server Address" field.
Wireless Connection (Wi-Fi):
- Make sure both the Windows PC and Mac are connected to the same Wi-Fi network.
- On the Windows PC, enable file sharing for the network profile you are using (e.g., Private).
- On your Mac, go to "Go > Connect to Server", then click "Browse" or enter the network address of the Windows PC in the "Server Address" field.
Remote Desktop:
- Install Remote Desktop Client: On your Mac, download and install the Microsoft Remote Desktop app.
- Add the Windows Computer: In the Remote Desktop client, add the IP address or domain name of the Windows computer.
- Enter Credentials: Enter the username and password for the Windows computer.
- Connect: Click "Connect" to access the Windows desktop remotely.
